The Telangana government has introduced guidelines for the construction of Indiramma houses, aimed at providing affordable housing for the poor. The scheme ensures low-cost housing opportunities with government assistance, including sand, cement, and steel at subsidized prices. This initiative helps homeless families in Telangana build their own homes, contributing to a stable living environment.

The Telangana government has released some important guidelines regarding the construction of Indiramma houses. This scheme has been specifically designed to provide affordable housing opportunities to the poor. Those who undertake house construction with government assistance must follow these guidelines.
The construction should begin at the location shown during the survey. After the house site is prepared, the village secretary must be informed. Subsequently, officials will take photographs and complete the geo-tagging process. The new house must be built on a site of at least 400 square feet. After the foundation work is completed, an initial amount of ₹1 lakh will be sanctioned. The government will provide 8 tractors of sand free of charge. Additionally, measures will be taken to ensure that cement and steel are made available at a lower price through the Housing Corporation.
Based on the stages of house construction, the relevant Assistant Engineer (AE) and Mandal Panchayat Development Officer (MPDO) will recommend the sanctioning of funds. According to government regulations, funds will be released in stages based on the construction progress. Through this scheme, poor families will have the opportunity to build their own homes at a low cost. The aim of implementing the Indiramma Housing scheme is to provide permanent residences to homeless families in Telangana. The subsidized amenities and government assistance will further benefit the people.
